Challenge #2
My first large group session!  Whew!  It was exciting and nerve-wracking and most importantly, I huge learning experience (again!).  The ranch was absolutely gorgeous and the family so easy to work with!  Thank you for this career-enhancing experience!

Baby Girl On the Way
Our good friends are having a baby girl - awwww.  They are going to be such loving and involved  parents.  I can't wait to see this baby girl.  She is going to be beautiful, just like her parents.

Challenge #1
A friend's sister is an absolutely amazing interior designer.  She said, "I love your work, I think you can do it!"  So, together we tried to capture the essence of her work at a gorgeous Austin home.  Thank you so much for stretching my creativity, problem solving and confidence.  Oh, and taking care of the baby during it all.  What an opportunity!

Big Happy Family

Three beautiful children...one on the way...and mom is the calm in the middle of the storm.  I am so impressed at what patient and loving parents these two are.  The little girl has surgery scheduled for March 3rd, so please put her on your prayer list.  Beautiful family, inside and out.

my husband said, "i know why you're taking so many photos - it's because she's not wearing her glasses".  i didn't even realize it myself, but it was nice to see her face again.  

St. Mark's Day School Preschool Prom  |  Austin Child Photography

I love my daughter's school.  I can't believe this is her last year here - wasn't she just in the two year old class?   The school threw a Valentine's themed prom fundraiser and I had the opportunity to donate my time to capturing some pretty stinkin cute kiddos and their hilarious families.  And, boas make any party better.

R & H Wedding Second Shooter
This is my second wedding second shooting for Mike Reed, a fabulous wedding photographer (http://www.mikereedphoto.com/).  The bride and groom were remarkable relaxed and beautiful.  Thank you for letting me help capture your important day.  Here are my favorites from the day; I think they turned out lovely.

GAP KIDS
Shhh!  These photos are a surprise for hubby for Valentine's Day and Anniversary.  I just couldn't decide which photos to post since I loved SSSOOOO many!  We had a blast and these three adorable children have certainly been in front of a lens before...they certainly look like GAP kids to me!

Please note, this family is the poster family for what to wear to a photo shoot.  Wonderful!

Ice Skating....in Austin
Jossie's first ice skate ever!  She's a natural, well, almost.  They make really great double-blade skates for the kiddos so they basically walk on the ice.  She barely squeezed her foot into that kiddie skate, but no way was I going to have a four year old with my genetic make-up on single sharp blades.  She had a blast!

Happy Birthday!

This super sweet boy turned four and we all bounced our way through his party.  The space was challenging photographically, but he's so cute, it didn't matter!

kids cut at birds
We have the coolest barbershop in the world here in Austin www.birdsbarbershop.com/.  They have vintage video games, 3-D art on the walls (with free glasses) and a laid-back vibe.  Jossie loves to get her haircut because she hates tangles (amen).  I love to get her haircut at Birds Barbershop because it means free at Lone Star, a great photo op and, most important, a lollipop. 
oh, and did i mention the kidcut and shortcut are great too!

ps - these photos were taken with a rented 16-35mm lens.   if you are feeling rather charitable, i sure would LOVE to have one of my own.:)
