Such a fun & easy session! Older brother is so smart and so handsome! Baby brother is super squeezy cute (I know, I have the best job!) and Mama so relaxed, happy and beautiful. Thank you for the opportunity to capture your family's spirit.

Squishy Cuteness {Austin Child Photographer}
Some babies you just want to give squishy cuddles to - and this adorable baby was one of 'em! And, what a wonderful disposition! She tolerated a long session with three clothing changes (that's four outfits)! Mommy and Daddy are clearly in love with this little girl and she is going to thrive because of it! Thank you for the opportunity to help capture her baby-ness!

Location Scouting {Austin Children Portraits}
Went location scouting with my girls.
"NO MORE PITURES" is their battle cry.
"If you weren't so cute, Mama wouldn't take so many pitures!" says me.
If you're interested in this location, let me know - I'm not sure how long it will be before they cut the grass!

Santa Fe Photographic Workshop Review
An entire week! All by myself? Well, with no one who yells, "Mama, are you going poo-poo?" in the public restroom. And, no one who can repeat "Brekfas yime" (translation Breakfast time) as many times as humanly possible?
OK, I may not have learned EVERYTHING I wanted to know about photography. But, I did get to go to summer camp with adults. I loved my classmates. I couldn't have asked for a more diverse, interesting and genuine group than this one. They were by far my favorite part. (And that's saying a lot because I didn't load a dishwasher once for 5 days straight - and that, was utterly refreshing.)
We got to play with light - reflecting, bouncing, creating. We learned lighting patterns so that now I can't look at an image without trying to determine it's pattern. We got to explore locations and new people. And, we got to practice on models who sit still! Very cool stuff!
so, I have to start with the Native American...it's NM!...

we were required to do a self portrait.
the rock is my amazing husband, who not only is my rock, but really likes rocks. i personally think he likes rocks because they are heavy and he likes to carry around heavy things - especially on long hikes.
like the hike back up the grand canyon (that rock was about 20 lbs - as if hiking down and up the grand canyon in a day isn't enough).
the fruit are our girls.
we hope the foundation we give them today will help them soar tomorrow.
well, it better not be tomorrow. maybe in 100 years when they are allowed to move out of the house.
here is one of my classmates who (whom?) I adore
and here is our super cool class
miss you all!
And, thank you to Blaine and Nana for taking such good care of our girls while I was away!!

Baby Boone
I'm a little tardy on this post...but I just have to include it because, well, images that I took are hanging on the nursery wall! It makes my heart sing! This mama is one of my biggest cheerleaders, and I love her for that. I can't wait to watch this baby grow up! Thank you for the opportunity to capture baby Boone's early days!

"Sadie Loves Kiki" Toddler Clothing
And I love 'Sadie Loves Kiki'! Trish, the owner of Sadie Loves Kiki, makes the most adorable children's clothing - all out of recycled textiles. Her designs are fresh and hip - oh and eco-conscious too! She let my daughter try on a few pieces while I droolled over them.
You can find her at: http://www.sadieloveskiki.com/
Thanks Trish! Can't wait to play again!

Ah, sweet brothers!
Everytime I meet siblings that get along, I am amazed. And this day was no exception. Big brother really did take care of little brother. And, what a happy glowing family! They braved the heat (it's a theme here in Austin), but we still managed to capture some beautiful images! Thank you for the opportunity to capture your family!

Packed 'em In
After much planning and arranging, we finally got our family mini-session finished! Wahoo! What neat and beautiful families! They hung in there through water sprinklers, bugs and dare I say, the heat. Although we were rushed, I think we got some real gems. Thank you for the fun session!
