Birthday Princess
A longtime friend of mine's beautiful princess daughter turned three and celebrated in royal style.  It was wonderful to get to see her and her family.  Thank you for sharing the day with us (and all the sugar!).  I have a CD of all the pictures for you!

Oh, the candy!

All the way from Australia!
My friends came all the way from Australia to visit!  With a 20 month old and mama's pregnant!  Can you imagine traveling like that!  My eyes are welling just thinking about it.  But, my friend is absolutely amazing and I love her to pieces!  Her little boy is so beautiful!  Thank you for making the trip!

Light Reflected
I bought a foam board.  I tried it, and yes, indeed it reflects light.  I want to try it on one of the kiddos, but holding the camera, the board and entertaining them at the same time seems to present a problem.  Anyone want to be my assistant?  It pays in smiles and thank yous!

Before white board and after...viola!  Let there be light!

J at the park
This kid is so fun!  His mom said, yes!, please take photos of my boy, and I said, yeehaw!!!

This was my first attempt at a collage...I know I didn't do it "right", but I had to put these three pictures together.  This little boy, ran up to his mom with a flower in his hand.  He was so proud and his mom beamed.  It was really really sweet.  Thanks for letting me capture that!

Practice Makes Perfect
I dragged my girls outside just after they woke up to test morning light.  It's too early for any real shoot, but indeed, morning light is nice.

Afternoon at the park
We found a friend at the park.  The sun was setting and created all kinds of lines everywhere.  While it was fun to play with, it was difficult to get a good shot.  Here's two.

El Dia de Muerto
A teacher at my daughter's school made the most beautiful altar honoring her grandparents and kitty for El Dia de Muerto.  It is such a neat tradition and a wonderful way to honor the people we miss.  She has inspired me (and probably lots of other parents) to make one and share it with my girls.  Thank you so much!

OK, so I went overboard with the collage, but it was a new action that I wanted to try out...and I just had to!

Morning Light (Take 3 or 4 or ???)
Dragged the baby outside.  I put her on a sheet under a porch.  Well, let's just say it didn't quite reflect the light like I wanted.  So, I threw her on a chair and started changing every setting in the camera I could find.  Not sure I learned anything except not to touch the majority of the settings I touched, but I got one I liked.

SOOC.  You may not be able to see it on the blog, but it is crystal clear.  Hooray!

Gorgeous Mama and Daughter
These two were looking so beautiful this day.  It was smack dab in the middle of the day with all sorts of shadows (that seems to be a theme - oh, it happens to be when everyone is AWAKE!).  But, I think these turned out beautiful.

Halloween Fun!
Instead of cleaning the house today, I played in photoshop.  I learned more about layers and brushes.  Super cool.  I doubt these would print very well, but I may have to print one to find out!

"Foofa" from Yo-Gabba-Gabba, but much, much prettier!

Pairs!
It's pretty tough to get the little one to take a picture by herself, more or less when she's with someone!

My husband took this, but I love the light coming through her hair.  Hey momma, stop kissing me!

Dress-up
We got out the halloween box and found Mama's dress-up clothes!  So, the background is cluttered and I had to bump up the 'grain' a ton to not use the flash, but she's so shiny and happy that I had to post anyway!

My husband also found this grub in our compost pit...yuuucckkkk!

Matching Dresses
OK, there are a lot of photos today, but too bad!  These two girls have the sweetest relationship and sometimes, I think I get it.

They like to talk about how when the smaller one turns 4 (they're a month and half apart), she'll be as tall as the taller one.

Friends touching hands.

I like the setting and the whole photo.  But, I love to look at the interaction between the two of them too.

They blend in a bit, but I like it this way.  I like how the colors "coordinate".

FALL FESTIVAL - MOMS Club
Mom MOMS club had their annual fall festival.  Super cute kiddos for sure!  I think maybe I should have played with the fill flash because there were lots of shadows.

Let's be honest, it's one of three MOMS events I go to...mostly because of the delicousness that abounds.

What gorgeous eyes!  Come on, this is straight out of the camera!

I didn't take the candy off his face - isn't that the point of halloween!!

Playdate!
Another playdate at the playground.  The afternoon sun vs. shade was harsh, but I think I captured the essence of the girls.
