New Year's Cards  {Austin Children Photographer}

After Christmas, checking the mailbox is such a let-down:  no Christmas cards, no catalogues - only credit card statements:(.  But, wait!!  There are always New Year's Cards!  These images are going to make perfect Welcome 2011 cards!  Hooray for the New Year!

Improving our GPA Part II  {Austin Children Photographer}

More super cute kiddos and still hoping this helps our admission to college (in approximately 12 years).

Improving our GPA  {Austin Children's Photographer}

When the director of my daughter's preschool asked if we could get together for a mini-photo session, I have to say yes...what if it helps improve her GPA?  Or, helps her get into the best college!?  I'll do what it takes:).

Thanks for the fun day!

Little Plumber Boy  {Austin Family Photographer}

Children ALWAYS want what they can't have.  Say, things like the toilet plunger (eww, gross!).  Well, why not buy him one if he likes it!?  And, why not put his name on it (to prevent confusion).  Now why didn't I think of that?  Smart mama!

What a beautiful family!!  Thank you for braving the just-in cold front!

Keeping Austin Weird {Austin Kids Photographer}

You just never know what you'll get in Austin.  And, this (chilly) evening, we got a DJ and a hoop dancer and lots of fun doggies to play with.  Who brought out the party for our photo session?!

Such a beautiful (and energetic) family!  Thank you for braving the chilly weather and the Austin Weird party!  You guys were great!

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!  {Austin Children Photographer}

My how time passes!  Just three months ago I met this darling little girl and her loving parents.  At the time, her first birthday seemed so far away.  But, here it is and now she's standing and almost walking and communicating and sprouting teeth.  Just like a big girl.  OK, she's still their baby and she's still beautiful.  Happy First Birthday Sweetheart!

A Football, a Duckie and the Dogs  {Austin Children Photographer}

But really, all they cared about was the lollipop.  Amazing the power of a lollipop.  The football and duckie were fun for a while, but everyone (including the dogs) agreed that sugar is the clear motivator.   And I really wanted to post a picture of mama doing the "give me lion"  "roar", but I know she would kill me.  So, I'll save that one for when I need it.  hee hee.  Thank you J & R for being such great supporters!!  Fun session and beautiful family.

Right at Home  {Austin Children Photographer}

Two sets of girls - both almost the exact same age as my two girls?  Come on - could I feel any more at ease with these adorable children?   And, their mamas are just beautiful (I think it may run in the family).  And, their daddy's were the best assistants ever...putting their muscles to the test holding up blankets to make shade and making their children laugh so hard I could see their tonsils through the lens.

Thank you for such a fun session.

PS -  I LOVE these tall grasses.  I wish they were "in bloom" all year long.
